Get ready for TV-Turnoff Week: April 25- May 1, 2005

TV-Turnoff Network is a national nonprofit organization that encourages children and adults to watch much less television in order to promote healthier lives and communities. Kids in this country watch about three hours of television every day. That means kids spend three whole hours sitting down and staring straight ahead, not moving, thinking, learning, reading, creating, dancing, jumping, singing, painting, playing, talking, giggling, or really having that much fun. When you think about it, watching TV is pretty boring.
