Family Sundays at Long Beach Museum of Art

Drop in, create art, and share Sundays with your family at the museum's hands-on, artist-led workshops for families with children ages 4-15. Reservations are not required. The second Sunday of each month from 2-4 pm. Free and open to the public. These workshops are held in the Boeing Classroom and are designed around current exhibitions. Check the Calendar for a schedule of dates and projects. 2300 E. Ocean Blvd. (between Cherry Ave. & Redondo Ave.) Long Beach, CA 90803, 562-439-2119. Free parking is available in the Museum parking lot on Ocean Blvd., one block west of the main entrance. Metered parking is available on the beach.

Kids Night Out at Local Malls

Join us for Kid's Night Out, where kids and their families can enjoy performances by L.A.'s top children's entertainers and win exciting prizes. Robot Revolution

The future is now at the California Science Center, where Frankenstein dreams of artificial life won't end up being technological nightmares. Opening May 28 is Robots + Us, a new highly interactive exhibition that's a playful look at how biology and engineering are fashioning a modern-day robot reality. Pasadena Family Fun Fest

Seaside Lagoon Summer Opening

11th Annual Orange Blossom Festival

The 11th Annual Orange Blossom Festival kicks off May 21st and 22nd celebrating Riverside's rich citrus heritage through music, art and culture. This year's title sponsor, the City of Riverside, will show their support with a parade entry including all Riverside City Council members and the mayor. The parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday. After the parade, it's your chance to meet Riverside City Council Members at the City Booth located in Arts & Culture Grove. Arts & Culture Grove Presented by Pythia and hosted by the Riverside Arts Consortium highlights the Arts with live "art making" demonstrations- chalk art, plein air, sculpture, pottery, and performance artArts & Culture Stage Lineup includes: West African Drums, California Riverside Ballet, Iberian/Latin American music and the Riverside County PhilharmonicFor the first time in Festival history, all museums will be open on Mission Inn Ave. between Lime and Orange. A new addition to the Festival, Gourmet Grove, presented by the Riverside Plaza will showcase various restaurants like Citrus City Grille, Daphne's Greek Café, Fazoli's , Pick-Up-Stix and more. Back for its seventh summer, Robinsons-May Pavilion of Wings is now open and will run through Labor Day, Monday, September 5, 2005
Enter a world of free flying butterflies and stroll through a beautifully landscaped temporary exhibit housed at the Museum's South Loan. See a giant swallowtail, monarch, American painted Lady or even a California dogface - California's state butterfly. Over the summer, thirty different butterfly and moth species will call the pavilion home. Discover how butterflies interact with the plants and gain a new understanding of various environmental issues.
Special ticketed admission applies: $3 for adults, $2 for seniors and students and $1 for children ages 5 to 12. Tickets are sold in half-hour time slots throughout the day.
