Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration!

One Dream, A Regional Influence, A World of People

Join us on Martin Luther King Weekend as we celebrate the inspiration of one man's dream, his past presence and influence in the Southern California region and his continued legacy. See a special historical photo exhibit, "King in Los Angeles," view film screenings of his speeches and experience performances on our main stage with artists representing our diverse community.

Our co-hosts will be Jeffrey Anderson Gunter and singer, stage performer, Dawnn Lewis. The program lineup includes the Dream Team, Korean Dance Academy, Vivian Tang, Ramesh Kumar-Bharati and Los Dados! We will see you at CAAM!

Museum opens at 11am
Live program begins at 1pm

And remember, this event is FREE!

Parking is at 39th and Figueroa Streets and is $6 per vehicle. Metered street parking also available.

Star Trek: The 40 City The Tour

First Stop: Long Beach, CA

The largest interactive Star Trek exhibit ever assembled features authentic Star Trek ships, sets, costumes, and props from all five TV series and 10 films.

Fans can sit in the original Captain Kirk's chair from the Enterprise, travel through space on motion simulators, make DVDs of themselves starring in an episode with the original cast, and more. A must for all trekkies. http://www.startrekthetour.com/
