Performing Books at the Los Angeles Central Library
Dancing Lily makes all the other cows dizzy with her zigzags, so she travels the world looking for the right place and dance for her.
Performing Books introduces children, ages of 4-10, to the performing arts through children's books. Sponsored by the Music Center Education Division, the Los Angeles Public Library and the Los Angeles Times’ Reading by 9 Program, this free series offers families the unique opportunity to hear stories read and brought to life by professional storytellers and artists.
Performances, which take place at the Los Angeles Central Library in downtown Los Angeles in the Mark Taper Auditorium, consist of two half-hour shows beginning at 2:00pm and 3:00pm. Please arrive early as there will be limited seating.
