2/26/05: International City Theater's FREE Black History Performance
International City Theatre's FREE Saturday Family Theatre Series is proud to present our first performance of 2005 on Saturday, February 26th at 11am at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, 300 E. Ocean Blvd in Long Beach. The performance will be our Annual Black History Month Performance. This year the performance will be: "The Spirit of Black Folklore".
"The Spirit of Black Folklore" Depth of spirit, pride, and a willingness to laugh in th face of it all are central themes with this performance based on folktales and literature from African and African-American cultures. Some children will have the opportunity to come on stage to help tell the story. Performed by the We Tell Stories Group. A children's theatre production (children 3-12), but it is entertaining for all ages. Free to all. Seating is first come, first served. This will be a great show, so please do not miss it! Parking is $8 in the parking garage, or park at the parking meters on Ocean Blvd.
