Free Comic Book Day!

Saturday, May 6, 2006: Free Comic Book Day is a single day each year when comic book shops across North America and around the world are giving away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their stores. Comic books are an original American art form created in the early twentieth century. They are fun to read and feature a wide range of diverse storylines that capture the imagination of the reader. Free Comic Book Day is a celebration of the comic book format and its myriad possibilities.
