This year's theme comes directly from a speech delivered by Dr. King on March 25, 1965 in Montgomery, Alabama. In his address Dr. King encouraged his followers to march to the ballot boxes to end poverty, bigotry and racial inequality. Dr. King closed his memorable speech on March 25, 1965 by saying "His truth is marching on". In the mist of this past years trials and tribulations, we must reflect on the courage, commitment, and wisdom of this great leader.

This Saturday, January 13, 2007 come join thousands of Long Beach residents and visitors and help us send out a powerful message of PEACE and UNITY to those that are constantly attempting to divide our Long Beach community that Dr. King's sacrifices were not in vain and that his truth is marching on.
