Our Voices, Ourselves
Celebrating Women's History Month

Through the eyes and voices of traditional and contemporary artists, community leaders, cultural historians, activists, and educators, this once-a-month Sunday cultural experience celebrates the diverse influences and achievements of art and culture from the African American Diaspora.

Featured during the 2007 season will be "The Community World Drum Project - A Year-Long Community Art Project." Featured artist, the talented drummer Marcus Miller, will lead a monthly interactive workshop introducing participants to the role and history of the drum within cultures around the world.

Saturday for Kids Series at Citrus College

The Saturday for Kids Series introduces children to a world of live theatre performances and allows them to rediscover the magical places imagination can take us.
These events are specially selected for adults to share with their children - to introduce great literature and new ideas, stimulate a sense of wonder, and just plain have fun!
All performances are on Saturdays at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and are approximately one hour long.

Pasadena's parade honors the achievements and history of African Americans with the theme "Uniting Our Community Through Pride and Commitment." After the parade, families are invited to a festival featuring food, merchandise booths, a kids' play area, music, and a display called the Black Inventions Museum. Kidspace Make Your Mark Tile Fundraiser
Saturday, February 17 – Monday, February 19, 11am-1pm
Make your mark at Kidspace Children’s Museum! For three days only, families can design their own 4"x 4" tile, which will be mounted permanently in the Kidspace Climbing Towers. Use various art materials to create your own design that will forever grace the walls of Kidspace for friends and family to see. There are only 150 tiles available for this three-day event, so arrive early to claim your spot in Kidspace history! Tiles are $25 each and all proceeds go to Kidspace Children’s Museum.Thank you for supporting Kidspace!
